Adam Partain has been tough to beat at Hartwell Speedway this season.
On Saturday night, Partain kicked things off by setting a new Crate Late Model track record in qualifying with a lap around the Hartwell, Georgia 3/8-mile clay raceway in 16.629 seconds.
From there, the Hartwell native led wire-to-wire to score the victory. It marks Partain’s sixth win in the last seven races at the raceway.
Bake Craft finished in second, with Danny Sanders in third, Parker Herring in fourth and Grant Jordan in fifth.
In other action, Shane Yarbrough scored the victory in the Hobby feature. Jimmy Ivester crossed the line in second, with Joe Yarbrough in third, Nick Carter in fourth and Cody Segars in fifth.
Grant Jordan was the winner in the Limited Late Model feature, with Eric Veal in second.
Ty Nalley looked to have the Modified Street feature win in hand, but saw it go away with a mechanical problem with just a few laps to go. That opened the door for Johnny Pilgrim the record the win. Chase Burdette followed in second, with Mitchell Godfrey in third.
Stephen House rocketed to the early lead in the Stock V8 feature, and went on to score the victory. Evan Brown, Rocky Jones, Chance Segars and Dustin Moore rounded out the top five.
In another showstopper in the Young Guns feature, Hoyt Partain edged out Tanner Nation by inches at the finish line for the win – the third time this season the finish in the division has been decided by such a margin. Seth Christener finished in third.
Russell Baker took the victory in the Open Wheel Modified feature. Dwayne McKeenon finished in second, with Stanley Hill in third and Austin Shirley in fourth and Matthew Wall in fifth.
Jeffery Lord scored the win in the Stock Four feature, with Brent Couch second, Ryan Boles third, Shane Peppers fourth and Dustin Bales fifth.
Alex Powell beat out a deep 24 car field to score his first Front Wheel Drive feature victory, earning a celebratory roll in the mud from his crew as a result.
Justin Sorrow finished in second, with North West in third, Kalen Holmes in fourth and Michael Trotter in fifth.
Up next for Hartwell Speedway is the sixth annual Wendell “Peanut Man” Rousey Memorial race on Saturday, May 25. For more information, visit Hartwell-Speedway.com.
