White County authorities are looking for a burglary suspect in connection with an incident that happened early Monday morning in the northern part of the county.

Surveillance images were used to identify Michael Anthony Turner, 53, of Cleveland as the suspect, Capt. Rick Kelley of the White County Sheriff’s Office said in a news release.

Deputies were dispatched at 12:15 a.m. to 402 Stanley Nix Road in reference to a burglary in progress, Kelley said. He said the homeowner was out of town but was alerted to the burglary by their surveillance system.  The homeowner believed that the intruder was armed with a rifle.

When deputies arrived, they found a window at the house had been forced open.

Kelley said Michael Anthony Turner is wanted for burglary. Anyone who knows his whereabouts is encouraged to contact the White County Sheriff's Office or call 9-1-1.
