ASW: Gainesville's Clay McDonald talks Red Elephant golf

By Bo Wilson Sports Editor

The Gainesville High School golf program is in good shape.

This season, both boys and girls will be making the trip back to the Class 6A golf tournament. Most recently, the Lady Red Elephant golf team won the area tournament and the Region 8-6A tournament.

The boys finished third in the area, but still qualified for state. The Red Elephants also grabbed the Region 8-6A title.

GHS Director of Golf Clay McDonald joins AccessSports Weekly to discuss the recent success of the program and what he expects in the state tournament later this month.
