Drivers can expect a change in the traffic pattern in south Forsyth County as transportation officials temporarily close a left hand turning lane.
Residents complained after a fatal accident at the intersection of Highway 141 and Callaway Court in January
A traffic study by the Georgia Department of Transportation concluded that by partially or fully closing the median crossing conflicts would make the area safer, but a traffic signal would not be necessary.
The change was made Wednesday morning and will remain for a month until officials can get feedback from the public.
At that time, they will decide if the change should become permanent.
