Gainesville poultry equipment company acquired by Ohio business

An Ohio-based manufacturer of food processing equipment has acquired a Gainesville poultry processing company.
 
In a press statement, Bettcher Industries, Inc. recently announced the acquisition of Cantrell, a Gainesville company that provides products, parts and service to poultry companies across North America. Among the products Cantrell manufactures for the poultry industry are are evisceration and picking equipment, second processing equipment, wing segmenters, vacuum systems and spare parts. 
 
Cantrell opened its doors in 1972 and was acquired in 2008 by Tony Rice and Dane Woods. The two men will remain at the helm at Cantrell, according to Bettcher officials.
 
The new company said Cantrell customers should see no changes in the services they receive.
