The move is complete: Gainesville library ready to reopen in temporary location

By Ken Stanford Contributing Editor

Three weeks after beginning the move into a temporary location, the Gainesville library is ready to reopen on schedule.

According to a posting on the library's Facebook page, the temporary home in the Turner Wood & Smith building, across the street from the library building, will reopen at 10:00 Monday.

The posting goes on to credit the library staff and workers from Hall County government who "packed away" 50 years worth of books and furniture from the library and got the temporary library ready in three weeks.

Library functions will return to the permanent site the middle of next year after the original library building has been renovated and expanded.
