CLEVELAND — Rivers Academy out of Alpharetta took home the team title Saturday at the Warrior Invitational Golf Tournament held at Mossy Creek Golf Course.
Rivers shot a one-day total 299 to outdistance second-place Dacula (325) and the rest of the 15-team field in the event which was hosted by White County High School.
Mount Vernon (330), Dunwoody (332), and North Forsyth (333) rounded out the top five. White County was sixth at 335 and North Hall seventh at 336. Cherokee Bluff took ninth with a 361.
North Hall's Jake Riley took low medalist honors firing an 18-hole 71. Riley held off Mark Brown of Rivers Academy and Kevin Park of Northview, both of whom shot a 73 on the Par 72 course.
Connor Gillespie of Cherokee Bluff finished tied for fourth after shooting a 2-over 74.
