Drew Collins led wire-to-wire en route to the combined Limited and Crate Late Model victory on Saturday afternoon at Georgia’s Hartwell Speedway.
After snagging the pole with fast time in qualifying, the Auburn, Georgia native edged out Danny Sanders on the opening lap, and then went largely unchallenged for the rest of the 25-lap feature around the 3/8-mile clay raceway.
Sanders, driving a Crate Late Model, held solid to the runner up spot throughout the race, and would come home in second. Nick Dietz finished in third, with Wesley English in fourth and Jessie Ivester in fifth.
In other action, Crandall Turner dominated the Hobby feature, pulling away from Cody Segars en route to the victory. Segars held on for second, with Shun Thomas in third, Cody Smith in fourth and Joe Yarbrough in fifth.
Chris McKeehan took the early lead and went on to take the victory in the Open Wheel Modified feature. Stanley Hill came home in second, followed by Matthew Wall in third.
Sterling Helm held off a hard charge from Thomas Segars to win his second straight Modified Street feature of the season. Johnny Pilgrim, Toddy Hammond and Daniel Doster rounded out the top five.
Bradlee Jones also scored his second consecutive victory in the Stock V8 feature. Chase Segars finished second, with Rocky Jones third, Dustin Moore fourth and Evan Brown fifth.
P.J. Taylor was flagged the winner in the Stock Four feature, but would see the win go away after he and son Justin Taylor, who was flagged in second place, failed post race tech inspection.
That moved Brent Couch to the win, with J.J. Garrett in second, Josh Lewis in third, Dustin Ogletree in fourth and Jamie Massey in fifth.
Kholemann Graham ran away to the win in the Young Guns feature. Tanner Nation finished in second, followed by Cole McKeehan in third.
Joel Powell, Sr. held off a determined charge from North West to win in the Up Front feature. Alex Powell, Travis Barbare and Kalen Homes rounded out the top five.
Hartwell Speedway will move to its first night race of the season this Saturday, March 23. For more information, visit Hartwell-Speedway.com.
