UNG print services for students, staff no longer in operation

University of North Georgia students and staff who took advantage of the college's Print Services Center are no longer be able to do so.

The Print Services Center on the Dahlonega campus permanently closed at the end of February. Vanguard News reported that the center was losing money.

"Evolution of printed content to online and digital formats has reduced revenues in the Print Services operation," Associate Vice President of Real Estate and Auxiliary Services Gerald Sullivan told the paper.

Those previously using the center for large-sized printing jobs are now encouraged to use outside services. Faculty and staff now will purchase large print jobs through an ordering system with the Purchasing Department, and then send them to one of three approved printers; students and clubs are encouraged to use the UPS store or One O One.

While printing jobs will need to be taken off-campus, Vanguard News reported those using the UNG logo will still need to be approved.
