Someone took home a winning lottery ticket in Winder worth over $600,000 this week.
Georgia Lottery officials say a Fantasy 5 ticket worth $609,499 was sold in Winder for the February 24th drawing.
The Publix Super Market on Monroe Highway sold the lucky ticket and the winner claimed their prize Monday.
The winning numbers for that drawing were: 3-27-31-37-39.
Since its first year, the Georgia Lottery Corp. has returned more than $20.5 billion to the state of Georgia for education.
All Georgia Lottery profits go to pay for specific educational programs, including Georgia’s HOPE Scholarship Program and Georgia’s Pre-K Program.
More than 1.8 million students have received HOPE, and more than 1.6 million 4-year-olds have attended the statewide, voluntary prekindergarten program.
