Lane closures will be in place today and tomorrow on Cleveland Highway (U.S. 129) at two bridge construction sites.
The hours are 9 a.m.-3 p.m. each day at both the Bells Mill Bridge, the northernmost of the two, and Longstreet Bridge.
This will be necessary, state Department of Transportation officials say, because of the installation of a concrete barrier at Bells Mill and construction of a concrete column at Longstreet. In each instance, one lane will be closed at a time.
In addition, on Monday, a concrete caisson, or support structure, for the new Bells Mill Bridge will close a lane from 9 a.m. until 3 p.m
