Three hurt in three-vehicle wreck in Habersham County

By Ken Stanford Contributing Editor

Three people were injured Saturday morning about 11:30 in a three-vehicle accident on Georgia 105 in Habersham County.

Sgt. C.J. Coffee of the Georgia State Patrol says a car driven by Lisa Thomason, 49, Mt. Airy, was stopped and waiting to make a left turn into a driveway.  Another vehicle, driven by Carol Allen, 64, Cornelia, was stopped behind Thomason, and was rear-ended by a van driven by Daniel Charles Smith, 54, Cleveland.

Sgt. Coffee says Smith was not injured and was charged with following too closely.

Allen was injured and taken to Northeast Georgia Medical Center.  Thomason was also injured but was not transported.
