Contracts were awarded recently by the Georgia Department of Transportation for several road projects in Banks, Barrow, Elbert and Lumpkin counties.
The GDOT board approved the contracts at its November meeting, according to a department news release.
They are for the resurfacing of portions of Georgia 98 in Banks County, Georgia 316 in Barrow, and Georgia 9 in Lumpkin. In addition, a contract for a new bridge on Fork Creek Road over Deep Creek in Elbert County was okayed.
