B.J. Robinson claimed the win in the first ULTIMATE Deep South Super Late Model Series visit to Boothill Speedway in Greenwood, Louisiana on Friday.
The Bossier City, Lousiana driver pocketed a $3,000 payday with the victory at the ¼-mile clay oval.
Polesitter Brandon Hightower led the 35-lap feature early but succumbed to engine failure early on. Jon Mitchell inherited the lead after Hightower retired, leading the next few circuits. Mitchell was held up in lapped traffic, leaving the door open for Jason Rauen to move to the lead on lap 8.
When Rauen made slight contact with a lapped car, Robinson was able to take the lead coming off of turn two. Robinson would never look back as he held off the field on an ensuing restart to claim the win.
Morgan Bagley came home in second, with Mitchell in third, Patrik Daniel in fourth and Jason Rauen in fifth.
Brad Couch, Tracy Denby, Jr., Jamie Burford Kevin Sitton and Mark Shipman rounded out the top ten.
