Braselton officials received what they called an "exciting" report last week from a tourism study of the town.
In a release, officials say the town council were presented with the report at their meeting on November 20, showing the results of a study that was done in August. The study, done by the Georgia Department of Economic Development's Tourism Product Development Resource Team reportedly looked at 28 sites in the town, looking for opportunities to drive tourism to the historic downtown area.
"We saw abundant success, and we note opportunities to advance the success," the team's Cindy Eison told officials.
Braselton Town Manager Jennifer Scott said the study now gives officials some options for how to improve tourism opportunities going forward.
"The report is extremely informative, deserving our thorough study and wide conversations," Scott said. "It’s exciting to realize the opportunities for our future from the eyes of professionals like these."
