*Habersham County Commissioner Natalie Crawford has completed requirements in the Association County Commissioners of Georgia's Lifelong Learning Academy. Recipients were presented with their achievement certificates during the 2019 Legislative Leadership Conference. The Academy provides continuing education and training opportunities for county officials in Georgia.
*The annual Veterans Day Ceremony in the City of Cumming will be held on Monday, Nov. 11, beginning at 11 a.m. at the Veterans War Memorial (301 Veterans Memorial Blvd., next door to the Cumming Police Department).

*The Northeastern Judicial Circuit Superior Court Judges have released their new website, www.nejc.org, to the public. The new site features information about both Hall and Dawson County Superior Courts, as well as their associated programs and services.
*Gwinnett Animal Welfare and Enforcement is celebrating Adopt-a-Senior Pet Month during November by waiving all adoption fees on dogs and cats five years old and older.
*The Forsyth County Board of Commissioners recently recognized Engineering Department Right of Way Supervisor Lynette Weldy for her upcoming retirement. Also during the meeting, four current county employees were recognized for service milestones: Indigent Defense Administrator Connie Brooker (30 years), Parks & Recreation Maintenance Worker Eddie Castleberry (25 years), Director of Engineering John Cunard (25 years ), and Water & Sewer Field Operations Supervisor Jeff Loggins (25 years).
*An audible test of Hall County's outdoor weather warning sirens will occur at 9:30 a.m. on Wednesday, Nov. 6.
*Gainesville attorney Julius Hulsey has received the Tradition of Excellence Award from the Georgia Bar Association. The award is given annually to four members of the Bar who display “outstanding legal and personal characteristics, have at least 20 years of achievement as a trial lawyer, general practitioner or judge, have an excellent record in community service, and have a personal commitment to excellence,” according to a recent Gainesville City School System newsletter. Hulsey is a 1957 graduate of Gainesville High School.
