Change in voting location for some South Hall residents

By Ken Stanford Contributing Editor

Some people in the South Hall area will be voting in a new location when Tuesday's elections are held.

According to the Hall County Elections and Voter Registration Office, voters in the Friendship precinct will vote Tuesday at The Venue at Friendship Springs on Friendship Springs Boulevard in Flowery Branch.  These voters have been casting their ballots at the Prince of Peach Catholic Church.

Meanwhile, polls will be open countywide from 7 a.m.-7 p.m.  All registered voters in the county will have a chance to vote on a proposed extension of a Special Purpose Local Option Sales Tax (SPLOST).  In addition, a city council post is up for grabs in Flowery Branch, while in Gainesville, a contested school board race and a contested city council race are on the ballot.  No other municipalities in the county have contested races this election cycle.
