UPDATE Oct 28, 11:40 a.m.: Authorities say they have located and detained a suspect in connection to a shooting Sunday night at a homeless camp on Atlanta Highway that injured one man.
Hall County Sheriff's Office spokesman Derreck Booth said in an email update just before noon Monday that the male suspect was taken in to custody before 11 a.m.
Booth did not identify the suspect or the victim. He says the victim is a man in his 40's, but did not have an update on his condition.

ORIGINAL STORY: Oct 28, 12:15 p.m.: An unnamed man was flown to Grady Memorial Hospital for treatment of a single gunshot wound to his jaw following an incident about 10 p.m. Sunday.
The Hall County Sheriff’s Office Criminal Investigations Division is conducting the probe of that incident that occurred at a homeless encampment in the area of Ga. 13 (Atlanta Highway) and Westside Drive, said Hall County Sheriff’s Office spokesman Derreck Booth.
Bystanders helped the victim to a gas station at the corner of Pearl Nix Parkway and Ga. 369 (Browns Bridge Road), where 9-1-1 was called, Booth said.
Sheriff’s deputies, Hall County Fire Services, Gainesville Fire Department and Gainesville Police Department responded to the incident.
The sheriff’s office investigation is active and in its initial stages, Booth said. Additional information will be released later.
