Hall County wants to know how citizens want to receive county information

By AccessWDUN Staff
Even though the Hall County Government already communicates with citizens on a variety of platforms, officials want to know what's working now and what needs to improve in the future. To that end, the county has set up an online survey for citizens to offer feedback on communications initiatives for Hall County.

"We want to know what forms of media our residents and stakeholders are using, and how we can meet them where they are. We understand that each person has their own preferences, and we want to be sure we are communicating in a way that not only reaches them but contains the type of information they want to read, watch or hear," said Brian Stewart, Hall County Digital Media Specialist.

Stewart said the county has a comprehensive website for citizens to use and the county also is active on social media - Facebook and Twitter, specifically. In addition, the county has what it calls the Hall About public safety podcast for citizens to listen to, along with an online monthly newsletter and more traditional items, such as brochures.

The communications survey is part of the continued implementation of the latest edition of the Strategic Plan. Focusing on internal and external communications is among 20 action items outlined in the strategic plan, which was adopted by the Hall County Board of Commissioners in 2018. The plan calls for a review of the county's comprehensive communication life cycle, among other things, in order to create a plan to enhance Hall County's overall communications program.

Stewart said the survey went live on Monday, Oct. 21 and citizens will be able to offer input at any time through the end of November.
