Flowery Branch man charged in sexual exploitation of children case

A cybertip has landed a Flowery Branch man in the Hall County jail after a brief investigation.

Steven Joseph Robertson, 27, has been charged with 26 counts of sexual exploitation of children, according to a press release from the Hall County Sheriff's Office.

Robertson allegedly obtained at least 26 videos of children engaged in sexually explicit conduct with adults and Thursday, investigators seized several devices during a search warrant at his Compass Drive home that were reportedly used to obtain those videos. The release states Robertson uploaded the videos between May and June of 2019.

The cyber tip from the Georgia Internet Crimes Against Children was reported to Hall County on Monday. Both agencies continue to investigate the case.

Robertson remains in the Hall County Jail without bond as for Friday afternoon. He was taken in to custody around 1:30 p.m. Thursday at the Sheriff's Office South precinct.
