The first full weekend of October is traditionally the beginning of fall festival season across North Georgia, and thankfully, the forecast helped the atmosphere, dropping temperatures into the 70s after a week of record-breaking heat.
The historic town of Gillsville opened Main Street to local potters on Saturday, a tradition for more than two decades. Just up the road in the East Hall area, the city of Lula celebrated with its annual fall festival. Enjoy a gallery of photos from Saturday's festivities.
