Police: Robbery is likely motive in Friday night murder in Buford

Detectives with the Gwinnett County Police Department believe theft or robbery motivated a murder in unincorporated Buford Friday night.

Officers were called to the home on Kendrix Drive around 10 p.m. after a family member found the victim in the garage suffering from significant head trauma. The 50-year-old man was taken to the hospital where he died, according to police. 

For now, the victim's identity is being withheld.

Detectives have no suspect information at this point. They ask that anyone who might have information to share in the case call Gwinnett County Police Department detectives at 770-513-5300.  Tipsters can remain anonymous by calling Crime Stoppers at 404-577-TIPS (8477) or visiting  Crime Stoppers tipsters can receive a cash reward for information leading to an arrest and indictment in this case.  The case number is 19-091941.
