Red Elephants struggle in 42-7 loss to No. 1 Dacula

DACULA — Gainesville struggled to find offense in a 42-7 loss to Class 6A No. 1-ranked Dacula Friday night on the road.

Gionni Williams led the Red Elephants with 155 yards passing.

JD Brooks scored Gainesville's only touchdown on a 3-yard run in the first half. The score tied the game, 7-7.

Dacula then outscored the Red Elephants 35-0. 

Gainesville (2-4, 0-1 Region 8-6A) plays host to Habersham Central on Friday. Kickoff is 7:30 p.m.
