The White County Sheriff’s Office has identified the driver of a vehicle involved in a multi-county chase that started in White County Monday night.
Captain Rick Kelley said in a news release said that the suspect, now identified as Christopher Lee Frazier, 31, of Cleveland, was driving erratically and failed to maintain his lane on Duncan Bridge Road.
Kelley said a deputy attempted to stop the vehicle but instead of stopping, Frazier fled. The pursuit continued into Habersham County, Hall County and then into Lumpkin County. The Georgia State Patrol became involved in the pursuit. A trooper performed a PIT maneuver on the vehicle causing the vehicle to crash into a ditch in Lumpkin County. Frazier then fled from the scene on foot, according to Kelley.
The White County Sheriff’s Office has issued warrants for Frazier on a list of charges, including fleeing or attempting to elude a police officer, driving while license suspended, reckless driving and numerous other traffic violations.
Kelley asks anyone who knows Christopher Frazier's whereabouts to contact the White County Sheriff’s Office at 706-865-5177.
