Brenau University’s online graduate education and MBA programs ranked among the top online higher education programs in the United States, according to the 2019 listings compiled by U.S. News & World Report.

Evaluated alongside programs from more than 1,000 colleges and universities surveyed by the publication this year, Brenau’s two programs scored high marks for student engagement, student services and technology, student excellence, faculty credentials and training, and expert opinions.

In the 2019 national listings, the Brenau online graduate education program was the highest ranked among private colleges and universities in Georgia and placed No. 4 among all Georgia institutions in providing high-quality teacher education and professional training for administrators.

“We are proud of our online graduate programs receiving national recognition and of the opportunities we provide our education majors,” said Eugene Williams, dean of the Brenau College of Education. “Preparing teachers for the ever-increasing complexities of the classroom reminds us to put our students first in the learning process. This helps our students to build community, develop common goals and prepare for the future, even when the future is undefined. Brenau provides excellent online graduate-level programs to allow educators to advance their teaching skills and be a part of an education community that cares.”

Meanwhile, the Brenau online MBA program was one from only two private universities in Georgia to make the U.S. News list.

“Brenau University has one of the oldest and largest online programs in the state,” said Suzanne Erickson, dean of the College of Business & Communication at Brenau. “We have been teaching online since 2000, which means our faculty are expert online instructors. Over the past 18 years, we have seen students increasingly gravitating toward the online environment, as it fits so much better into their lives. Online platforms make education available to those who do not live near a university or do not have the time to fight traffic and attend in-person classes.”
