Gainesville Fire Department officials are investigating the cause of a Thursday morning house fire on Chestnut Street.
Division Chief Keith Smith said five people were inside the house when the fire broke out.
Smith said the American Red Cross was called to the scene to assist the people who were displaced.
No one was injured.
