Gainesville officials close boat ramps because of high Lanier levels

The high level of Lake Lanier is prompting the closure of some boat ramps around the lake.
 
Gainesville Parks and Recreation announced Thursday morning the Holly Park Boat Ramp and the Longwood Park Lake Walk will be closed until further notice.
 
The level of Lake Lanier Thursday morning is 1073.98. Full winter pool is 1070, according to the U.S. Army Corps of Engineers.
