Plans in the works to add 144 townhomes to South Hall development

By Ken Stanford Contributing Editor

The developers of Lancaster Subdivision on Spout Springs Road want to add 144 townhomes to the development, which consists of 187 single-family lots.

Their request is scheduled to go before the Hall County Planning commission Oct. 15. The additional property, totaling 36.4 acres, is a former spray field for the Spout Springs Water Reclamation Facility.

Clayton Properties Group, Inc., will be asking the county to rezone the site to Planned Residential Development (PRD).

Meanwhile, county officials say another item on the original agenda for the Oct. 15 meeting has been moved to the planning board's Nov. 5 meeting.  It involves 518.6 acres on Georgia 365 at Simpson Road.  Gateway 2 Partners, LLC, plans a mixed-use development (industrial, commercial, office, and institutional) on the tract with Planned Commercial Development (PCD) zoning.
