Voter registration deadline fast approaching

The deadline to register to vote in this year's General Election in Georgia is coming up next week.

The deadline is Tuesday, Oct. 9.  The election is Nov. 6.

You can check your registration, register, and get other election information online on the Georgia Secretary of State's website.   

In Hall County, you can also register at the county Elections and Voter Registration Office.  The office is open Monday-Friday, 8:00-5:00.  In addition, you can also register where you get your driver's license and at HallCounty libraries, according to Lori Wurtz, head of the Elections and Voter Registration Office..

For other counties in the area and around the state, check with local elections officials for registration information.
