Forsyth County wins award for budget

The Government Finance Officers Association awarded Forsyth County with the Distinguished Budget Presentation Award.
 
County Manager Eric Johnson explained the significance of this award and said, "We're one of, I think, only 4 counties in the state of Georgia that have a AAA bond ratings from both Moody"s and Standard & Poors and that reflects the good work that staff here has done."

Johnson says he's been involved with the Government Finance Officers Association as a reviewer for 30 years and calls the award "a significant measure of sucess for a financial organization".
