Lula man arrested for growing marijuana

Hall County drug agents arrested a 70-year-old Lula man Thursday, Aug. 23 after they found marijuana growing on his property on Bill Savage Road. 
 
According to Lt. Don Scalia with the Hall County Multi Agency Narcotics Squad, Douglas Francis Gomer was charged with manufacturing marijuana, possession of THC oil, possession of marijuana and possession of a firearm during the commission of a crime.
 
"Mr. Gomer was found in possession of 10 marijuana plants growing on his property, a .32 caliber handgun, a vape vial containing THC oil, and a baggie containing approximately six grams of processed marijuana," Scalia said in a press statement.
 
The street value of the marijuana was around $12,000, according to Scalia.
