Buford teen charged as adult in molestation case

By Scott Kimbler, B.J. Williams
A Buford teenager is jailed and is facing charges of child molestation and aggravated sodomy in a case involving a minor female child, according to Hall County authorities.

Hall County Sheriff's Lt. Scott Ware said Mason James Rosbury was 14 at the time of the alleged crimes. Rosbury is accused of molesting the girl at a home in south Hall County on March 12, 2018.

"A relative of the victim was made aware of these incidents and notified the Hall County Sheriff’s Office," Ware wrote in a press statement.

Ware said the victim was under the age of 10.

Ware said Rosbury was indicted by a Hall County Grand Jury in July on two counts of child molestation and three counts of aggravated sodomy.

Rosbury is being charged as a adult, but is being housed in the Regional Youth Detention Center.
