Flowery Branch man accused of sex crimes against young teens

By B.J. Williams

An 18-year-old Flowery Branch man faces sex crime charges in two separate incidents involving young teens, according to the Hall County Sheriff's Office.

Luke James DeCamp was arrested Thursday, according to Hall County Sheriff's Lt. Scott Ware.

Ware said the first incident occurred on January 25 at a private residence off McEver Road. DeCamp allegedly obtained nude photographs of a 13-year-old male victim.

"Disclosure was actually made to family who forwarded everything to law enforcement," Ware said.

He said there were 14 sexually explicit images of the victim in DeCamp's possession. In the case involving the 13-year-old, DeCamp was charged with sexual exploitation of a child.

Ware said the other incident occurred on April 11 at a church in the West Hall area. That victim also was a male teen.

"The second victim was 14," said Ware. "This actually occurred at a church and they [DeCamp and the victim] were caught in a bathroom at the church and that's how law enforcement got involved."

In the second case, DeCamp was charged with aggravated child molestation.

As of Friday at noon, DeCamp remained in the Hall County Jail with no bond.

Ware said the investigation is ongoing to determine if there have been additional victims.

Editor's note: Specific locations where the alleged crimes occurred have not been published to protect the victims.
