DEMOREST — Brady Ballstadt was named to the D3baseball.com 2018 All-America Team earning first team honors announced Wednesday.

The honor comes after being named the D3baseball.com All-South Region Player of the Year on Monday.

The junior outfielder was one of just two USA South players to earn All-America honors as Alex Kachler, C, from Methodist took honorable mention honors. As a member of the first team, Ballstadt was honored as one of the top 16 players in Division III and one of the top three outfielders across DIII.

Ballstadt was tied for the most stolen bases by any player on the listing and was one of just five players to earn the honor with a perfect fielding percentage.

Ballstadt earns All-America honors after posting a .397 batting average in 2018 and led the USA South in hits with 73, earning conference Player of the Year as well. The junior from Suwanee, Georgia led the team in runs, hits, doubles, and homeruns for the second year in a row and totaled 120 bases, the best in the NCAA era program history, breaking his own record of 98 set a season ago.

A total of 888 players were nominated for the 12th annual D3baseball.com All-America team with the top 64 players earning a spot on the listing. Each team (first team, second team, third team, honorable mention) had a total of 16 players.
