Michael Page becomes first time SAS winner at Senoia

By Series PR

SENOIA, Ga. - Michael Page scored his first career Southern All Star Dirt Racing Series victory Saturday night at Georgia’s Senoia Raceway.

The Douglasville, Georgia speedster held off challenges from Shane Clanton and Aaron Ridley en route to the win.

Page used both the top and bottom grooves around the 3/8 mile speedway, and also used lap traffic to foil challenges from other competitors.

By the time the checkered flag flew over Page’s No. 18 racer, Page had built up over a second lead over second place. Clanton crossed the finish line in second, with Ridley in third, Ashton Winger in fourth and Ross Bailes in fifth.

Clint Smith, Mason Massey, Jay Scott, Eric Hickerson and Larry Harrod rounded out the top ten.

Page doubled up on the night by also winning Senoia’s Limited Late Model feature, with Dennis Hale in second, Dalton Polston in third, Joey Armistead in fourth and Thomas Mewborn in fifth.

Other local division winners included Cruz Skinner in Crate Late Models, William Blair in Late Model Sportsman, Jamie Nicholson, Jr. in Chargers, Ted Willingham in Hobby, Dorough Bright in Bombers, Tommy Faulkner in Mini Stocks and Eddie Segars in Hot Shots.

The Southern All Star Dirt Racing Series return to action at North Alabama Speedway in Tuscumbia, Alabama on Saturday, May 26. For more information, visit SASDirt.com.
