Two arrested in Sunday armed robbery at Motel 6

Gainesville Police have arrested two people in an armed robbery investigation.

Dalvontae Stephens, 24, of Gainesville and Jessica Melear, 27, of Flowery Branch have been charged in the Sunday armed robbery, according to a release from Gainesville Police.

Police said the male victim told them a white female and black male entered his room at the Motel 6 on Monroe Drive in Gainesville and held him at gunpoint; he said his iPhone and an undisclosed amount of cash were taken before the suspects left on foot.

Responding units were able to locate the suspects and arrested them without incident.

Both suspects face charges of armed robbery, aggravated assault, false imprisonment, criminal use of a firearm with altered ID, possession of a firearm during the commission of a felony and possession of a firearm by a convicted felon. Both are in the Hall County Jail.
