Two men identified, charged in road rage stabbing incident

Gwinnett Police have identified the two involved in a stabbing during a road rage altercation.
 
Eugene Brants, 25, of Dacula faces an aggravated assault charge in the case. The stabbing victim, Jesse Cole, 38, of Demorest also faces a battery charge in the case as Brants suffered visible head injuries in the incident, an update from Gwinnett Police said.
 
Cole and Brants both exited their vehicles on Peachtree Industrial Blvd near Little Mill Road May 7 and confronted each other, resulting in a physical fight during which Brants stabbed Cole, according to the update.
 
Brants has been transported to the Gwinnett County Jail without incident after turning himself in shortly after he saw media coverage about the incident around May 11.
 
Cole has agreed to turn himself in after he sufficiently recovers from his injuries.
