Jonathan Davenport takes ULTIMATE SLM win at Virginia

Jonathan Davenport held off a last lap challenge from Scott Bloomquist to score the ULTIMATE Super Late Model Series victory Saturday night at Virginia Motor Speedway in Jamaica, Virginia.

The win gave the Blairsville, Georgia speedster a $20,000 payday.

Bloomquist was fastest in qualifying, but it was Davenport jumping out to the early lead. From there, Davenport would lead wire-to-wire en route to the victory.

Bloomquist finished in second, followed by Chris Madden in third, Tim McCreadie and Brandon Overton in fifth.

Austin Hubbard, Greg Satterlee, Jason Covert, Kyle Hardy and Tyler Millwood rounded out the top ten.

The Ultimate Super Late Model Series returns to action on Saturday, April 21 at Dixie Speedway in Woodstock, Georgia. The following night, Sunday April 22, the series will travel to Rome Speedway in Rome, Georgia.
