Several churches in the Gainesville area will once again participate in the Good Friday observance of the stations of the cross.
The community is invited to meet at Grace Episcopal Church at 422 Brenau Avenue and join with other Christian believers as they walk down Green Street to First Baptist Church. According to organizers, there are 14 different stations of the cross, depicting the journey of Christ on his way to the crucifixion.
The event begins with a Good Friday service at noon at Grace Episcopal Church.
For those unable to walk through all of the stations, there will be a smaller display of the 14 stations set up at Grace.
