CHSGa, a nonprofit healthcare system, has donated $6,000 in scholarships to support students enrolled in the Practical Nursing Program at Lanier Technical College.
“Lanier Technical College is excited to partner with CHSGa to assist our students working toward the Practical Nursing Diploma.” President Dr. Ray Perren said. “This scholarship will assist recipients in meeting costs associated with enrolling in this program at Lanier Tech. We appreciate CHSGa’s commitment to helping increase the availability of skilled individuals to meet the high demand for nursing professionals in our state.
“By providing the CHSGa Practical Nursing Scholarship we are assisting students who are committed to the healthcare profession and future workforce,” states Ronnie Rollins, President and CEO of CHSGa. “As an integrated healthcare system, we are dedicated to providing health services to communities across Georgia and honored to be a partner with Lanier Technical College.
CHSGa has over 30 years of experience delivering direct access to healthcare services through service delivery lines in all 159 counties in Georgia. The agency offers access to a wide range of comprehensive health care programs from skilled nursing services to home health to hospice care.
Scholarship funds will support needs-based tuition costs, books, uniforms, clinical experiences, and licensing exam preparation. Students may apply for the scholarship through the Lanier Technical College Foundation, which provides scholarship awards to over 300 students annually.
