Gwinnett Police have identified the victim of a fatal wreck on I-85 in the Suwanee area Monday morning as Kristina McConnell, 24, of Auburn.
Police were notified of the wreck, which happened near Old Peachtree Road on the northbound side of the interstate, around 3:20 a.m. according to Cpl. Michele Pihera, public information officer.
Kenya Renee Latimer, 23, of Lawrenceville has been charged with homicide by vehicle, DUI, reckless driving and failure to maintain lane.
Pihera, in an email update to AccessWDUN Monday afternoon, said authorities believe it to be a single-vehicle wreck, with Latimer listed as the driver and McConnell listed as a passenger.
