SENOIA, Ga. - Shane Clanton took top opening night honors at Georgia’s Senoia Raceway on Saturday night with a victory in the Super Late Model feature.
Clanton, from nearby Zebulon, Georgia, passed Senoia native and asphalt racing veteran Bubba Pollard on lap four of the feature, and went on to record the win.
Austin Horton would overtake Pollard to finish in second, with Dale Thurman in fourth and Rob Mayea in fifth.
In other action, Cruz Skinner scored the win in the Limited Late Model feature, with Tyler Thomason in second, Thomas Lewis in third, Bailey Williams in fourth and Thomas Mewborn in fifth.
Veteran driver Clint Smith set a new track record in Crate Late Model qualifying, then went on to win the feature over Payton Freeman in second, with Ashton Winger in third, Dylan Knowles in fourth and Jody Knowles in fifth.
Cory Compton led the Late Model Sportsman feature wire-to-wire en route to the win. Dylan Knowles, Jack Mills, Levi Campbell and Morgan Alexander rounded out the top five.
Larry Bednar was the winner in the Hobby feature, with Brandon Henderson in second and Keith West in third.
Dunie Dillard took home the win in the Bomber feature. Scott Amoson finished in second, with Dorough Bright in third, Mike Nelms in fourth and John Holcomb in fifth.
In the Mini Stock feature, Bobby Faulkner beat out Joshua Till for the victory.
Wesley Patterson crossed the line in third, followed by John Caldwell in fourth and Jeff Dean in fifth.
Lucas Pittman was the winner in the Hot Shot feature, edging out Nathan Farrow for the victory. Mark Meyer finished third, with Jim Jackson fourth and Dean Williams fifth.
Senoia Raceway is back in action on Saturday, March 10, with action in the Limited Late Model, Crate Late Model, Late Model Sportsman, Hobby, Mini, Bomber, and Hot Shots.
