Fieldale Farms is again asking that a portion of Athens Street in Gainesville be temporarily closed.
A few weeks ago it was closed for "crane work," specifically "(to) set equipment off roof."
The same section of the street, between Harrison Square and Monroe Drive, will be closed this time so equipment can be placed on the roof of a building. It is to be closed at 8:00 a.m. Wednesday and reopened by 4:00 p.m., according to the request that was filed with the city.
City officials say Old Athens Road should be used as an alternate while Athens Street is closed.
