GAINESVILLE — Nine individual Brenau University Golden Tigers were named All-AAC Team honorees after winning the 2018 Appalachian Athletic Conference Swim Championship in Kingsport, Tennessee, on Feb. 8-10.
This was the first year the team championship follows three consecutive titles in the Golden Tigers previous conference, the Appalachian Swimming Conference, which Brenau left last year along with its departure from the Southern States Athletic Conference.
The All-AAC Brenau swimmers and their events are as follows:
- Nikoletta Alvanou, a freshman from Thessaloniki, Greece: 800 Freestyle Relay and 400 Individual Medley
- Kamryn Carter, a freshman from Woodstock, Georgia: 200 Freestyle Relay and 100 Butterfly
- Ayana Daniels, a junior from Snellville: 1-Meter Diving
- Maggie Davis, a freshman from Thomasville: 800 Freestyle Relay and 200 Butterfly
- Lindsey Dowling, a junior from Winston: 200 Medley Relay, 100 Backstroke, 400 Medley Relay and 200 Backstroke
- Alisha Hodgetts, a senior from Perth, Australia: 200 Medley Relay, 200 Freestyle Relay, 100 Butterfly, 400 Medley Relay and 100 Freestyle
- Ella Kleinschmidt, a senior from Hervey Bay, Queensland, Australia: 200 Medley Relay, 500 Freestyle, 800 Freestyle Relay, 200 Freestyle Relay, 200 Freestyle, 400 Medley Relay and 1650 Freestyle
- Maria Morell Quiroga, a senior from Palma de Mallorca, Spain: 400 Individual Medley
- Yanne Toussaint, a sophomore from Varsseveld, The Netherlands: 200 Medley Relay, 800 Freestyle Relay, 200 Freestyle Relay and 400 Medley Relay
