Gwinnett police make 2 more arrests in Buford murder case

Gwinnett County Police Department detectives have announced two additional arrests in the November murder of Blake Schulte in Buford. 

The lead detective identified Michael R. Connor, 19, Lawrenceville and Alexander Scott, 16, Doraville as the latest suspects in the case. Connor was arrested Thursday, Feb. 1, while Scott, who was shot during the incident on Express Lane, was arrested Friday, Feb. 2.

Connor is facing charges of felony murder, criminal attempt to purchase marijuana, possession of a firearm during the commission of a felony and aggravated assault.  

Scott has been charged with felony murder, criminal attempt to purchase marijuana and possession of a firearm during the commission of a felony.  

The arrests of Connor and Scott follow the arrest of the murder victim's twin brother Tyler Schulte, 20, of Buford. Tyler Schulte was arrested on Jan. 20

Blake Schulte's body was found in a car in the Duncan Park neighborhood on Nov. 28, 2017; he had been shot to death.
