HARTWELL — The Dawson County girls opened the McDonald's Shootout at Hart County High School with a 64-29 rout of Wade-Hampton from Greenville, (S.C.).
The Lady Tigers (9-4) opened the game with a 15-4 first quarter and extended their lead to 35-16 by halftime. They then outscored Wade-Hampton 21-2 in the third quarter to put the game out of reach.
Kaylee Sticker led Dawson County with 19 points. Maddie Anglin added 12 points and Marlie Townley and Shyla Sheffield each scored 10 for the Lady Tigers.
