With Christmas beginning to move into the rear view mirror, it's time think about the clean up. The biggest job - how to dispose of the live Christmas tree dropping needles in the living room.
Once again, Keep Georgia Beautiful is encouraging folks to "Bring One for the Chipper" during the group's annual "treecycling" event.
Spokeswoman Meagan Whitehead said most counties are offering the program at local compactor sites. Whitehead said it's important that all decorations be removed from the tree before it's tossed as the donation site.
"Leave the tree as bare as you found it," Whitehead said. "So, no ornaments, no lights, no stands. Nothing metal or decorative."

In Hall County, trees can be dropped at compactor sites from Dec. 26, 2018 through Jan. 6, 2019. The county will grind the trees into mulch and residents can get the mulch free of charge once the trees are processed. The pick-up location is the Hall County Landfill, and mulch is available from 8 a.m. to 3 p.m. Monday through Friday, according to county spokeswoman Katie Crumley.
Trees may be dropped off at the following Hall County compactor sites between 7:30 a.m. and 6:30 p.m. Monday through Saturday and from 11 a.m. until 6 p.m. on Sundays:
