DAHLONEGA — Despite 23 points from Jacob Radaker, Jefferson dropped a heartbreaker to Class 7A Brookwood 68-66 Saturday in the opening game of the North Georgia Showcase at the University of North Georgia.
The loss for the Dragons (2-3) was their final non-region contest before opening Region 8-3A play on Tuesday at Monroe Area.
Daniel Parker had 12 points for Jefferson. Owen Parker and Kam Robinson each had 8 points for the Dragons.

Chestatee ran its win streak to four and improved to 6-1 on the season after taking a win over Lumpkin County in The Showcase.
Cameron Gwyn poured in 25 poits and Brenton Nicholson added 22 to lead the War Eagles. Jonah Bull chipped in with 11 points for Chestatee.

The Lions (4-2) won their second consecutive game with a win over te Warriors in The Showcase Saturday.
Blake McIntyre paced Lakeview with 20 points. Adam Cottrell recorded a double-double wih 10 points and 10 rebounds to go with 4 steals. Arturo Varela added 12 points for the Lions.
Lakeview is off until next Saturday when it plays host to Tallulah Falls.
White County (2-4) next will travel to Blessed Trinity on Tuesday to open Region 7-4A play.

Carl Cleveland poured in 32 points and grabbed 12 rebounds to lead the Leopards to a win over the Class 7A Eagles.
Pierce Martin added 11 points and Wes Ledford had 10 for Banks County (3-3).

Johnson snapped a two-game losing streak with it first road victory of the season at the Commerce gym.
Sophomore Wade Pearce and junior Jesse Harbin each pumped in 19 points to lead the Knights (2-2).
The Knights return to action on Tuesday traveling to take on Oglethorpe County.
