A student was suspended Friday for posting a threat against Chestatee Academy on social media, school officials said.
The student, a 7th grade boy, will not be charged in the case, said Gordon Higgins, Hall County Schools spokesman.
"It was quickly determined during the course of the investigation that the school was never in danger nor any student’s personal safety at risk," said Higgins in a statement.
Officials didn't immediately say where the threat was posted or what it said.
Parents were notified of the incident at 1:20 p.m., Higgins said.
