FLOWERY BRANCH — Cherokee Bluff opened its inaugural season with a solid 89-52 win over Lanier Christian Academy Tuesday night.
The Bears (1-0) got 27 points from Griffin Neville and 23 points from Bosko Norman in the victory.
The Bluff will step in competition on Friday traveling to Class 7A Forsyth Central.

Chestatee rallied from a 10-point deficit in the final four minutes to knock off the Indians at home.
It was a back-and-forth affair as Chestatee (2-0) led 22-20 after the first quarter. Lumpkin County, playing in its season opener, rallied to tie the game at 37-37 by halftime.
The Indians (0-1) continued their good work in the third quarter running out to a 61-54 lead heading into the fourth quarter. But they couldn't hold it.
Chestatee stormed back behind Will Cantrell, who had 23 points. including hitting 7 of 10 from the 3-point line. Brenton Nicholson added 18 points draining 4 of 6 3-pointers and going a perfect 6-for-6 from the foul line.
Cameron Gwyn chipped in with 15 points and Kyle Bowmar had 14 points for Chestatee.

Noah Edmondson poured in 22 points in a losing effort for West Hall in the Spartans' season opener against the Titans in Bogart.
Sawyer Passmore chipped in 13 points.
